I keep searching
in my northern sky
after the Southern Cross
live oak
dripping moss
dripping moonlight

Hi, Steve, and great blog! I first posted this haiku on Summer Haiku 2009. It is inspired by Savannah and The Eagles' song "Seven Bridges Road."

Welcome one and all! I should probably just say: Hey Y'all!! Welcome to Southern Haiku ! I decided to start the blog off with this haiku I wrote last summer for the Summer Haiku 2008, because it's actually when the idea first settled into my head about starting this endeavor. I'd like to thank the good folks at The Dead mule School of Southern Literature for helping me out with this, and I look forward to lots of great haiku from yall!
